Privacy Policy

Account information: the email address and password you provide when you register, and a display name if you set one.

Content you create: trade journal entries, reviews you submit, watchlist and favorite selections, and your settings preferences.

Usage information: approximate device type, app version, and anonymous analytics events (such as which screens are opened) collected to improve the product.

Payment information: subscription purchases are processed by Stripe and the Apple App Store / Google Play. We do not store your full card number on our servers.

To create and maintain your account and authenticate your sessions.

To display your saved journals, favorites, watchlists, and personalized settings across devices.

To process and verify subscription access to premium features.

To send service notifications such as price or whale alerts you have explicitly enabled.

To monitor app stability, diagnose bugs, and improve features.

BTC Edge displays market intelligence sourced from public cryptocurrency exchanges and on-chain data providers. This data is retrieved over secure HTTPS connections and is not stored on our servers unless you explicitly save it (for example, as a favorite).

Payments are handled by Stripe (web) and Apple App Store / Google Play (native), each under their own privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

BTC Edge uses local browser/device storage to remember your login session and UI preferences (such as selected ticker and theme). No advertising trackers are used.

You can view and edit your account settings at any time within the app.

You can delete individual journals, favorites, and reviews you have created.

You can permanently delete your account and associated data from the Settings page; this action cannot be undone.

You may request a copy or deletion of your personal data by contacting us at the email below.

All network traffic is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS using encryption provided by the operating system. We do not implement custom cryptography.

API keys and service secrets used by our backend are stored in a managed secrets vault and are never shipped to the app or exposed to the browser.

Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel and systems on a least-privilege basis.

We retain your account information and user-generated content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and user-generated content are removed from our active systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal backup-retention requirements.

BTC Edge is not directed at individuals under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the 'Effective date' above and notify you within the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
